About This Home

Teelawuket Ranch is a premier Colorado live water ranch located in the spectacular Upper Pine River Valley near Bayfield and Durango. Encompassing 923 acres, the Ranch combines private trout fishing, productive wildlife habitat, equestrian facilities, and exceptional improvements within one of the most scenic landscapes in the Rocky Mountain West. Surrounded by the rugged San Juan Mountains, the property features irrigated meadows, timbered hillsides, aspen groves, and extensive riparian corridors that create both remarkable beauty and year-round recreational opportunity. Water is the defining feature of Teelawuket Ranch. More than one mile of the Upper Pine River flows through the property, complemented by East Creek and a five-acre pond that provide diverse fishing opportunities for brown, rainbow, and brook trout. Direct adjacency to U.S. Forest Service lands and access to the renowned Weminuche Wilderness further enhance the Ranch’s sporting appeal. Improvements include a 6,400-square-foot main residence, five guest cabins, a ranch manager’s home, historic gathering spaces, a four-stall barn, riding arena, corrals, and supporting ranch infrastructure. The Ranch is equally suited for family retreats, equestrian pursuits, entertaining guests, and multi-generational ownership. Abundant elk, mule deer, turkey, and black bear habitat, combined with proximity to Durango, Vallecito Reservoir, and several renowned trout rivers, make Teelawuket Ranch an exceptional legacy property offering privacy, recreation, and stewardship in one of Colorado’s most desirable mountain destinations.
